Calculators and Planning Tools
Our tools — including the Moving Cost Calculator, Moving Box Calculator, Moving Truck Size Estimator, Moving Timeline Generator, and Moving Quote Comparison Tool — produce planning estimates based on the information you enter and the assumptions built into each tool. Results depend on your inputs and may differ from actual moving-company quotes, since a real quote also reflects a provider's own pricing method, availability, and an in-person or virtual survey of your belongings that a calculator cannot perform. Tool results are not guaranteed quotes, and using a tool does not create a contract between you and Moving Company Guide or any mover.
The Moving Quote Comparison Tool organizes the information you enter about different movers side by side; it does not identify a guaranteed "best" mover or assign a score. Calculators may not account for every cost, service, or circumstance relevant to your specific move — treat every result as a starting point for planning, not a final number.

Checklists and templates are planning aids. You may need to adapt them to your own move, and they may not cover every task, document, deadline, or rule that applies to your situation — a household move, an office relocation, an interstate move, and an international move can each involve different documents and steps than a generic checklist anticipates. Using a checklist or template does not guarantee legal, contractual, regulatory, customs, insurance, or provider compliance.
