The Return Of Allstar Moving & Storage

Warning signIn December 2010 Allstar Moving & Storage, (also operating under the names ‘Allways Moving & Storage’ and ‘Movers & A Truck’) based in Chandler, Arizona had to pay $80,000 to settle a civil fraud case brought by the State of Arizona Attorney General. The original fraud suit filed in May 2010 claimed Allstar Moving & Storage misrepresented that its moving crews were experienced, claimed they were bonded when they were not, deceptively charged taxes that were not imposed by lawful taxing authorities, and failed to disclose that their insurance would cover only a small fraction of any damage to consumers’ property. At the time Justice Court records contained a large number of unpaid judgments against the company obtained by former customers and also the Better Business Bureau showed 158 complaints over the previous 36 months. This was no surprise as Arizona Department of Weights and Measures had files full of consumer complaints claiming that Allstar Moving & Storage employees would demand additional cash from customers above the original price and threaten to hold their belongings or drive away if they don’t pay.

Fast forward to the present day and 4 years later Better Business Bureau is showing 131 complaints in the previous 36 months, and consumer review sites like Yelp are still receiving complaints from scammed consumers. In other words nothing has changed.

So if you have been scammed by this company here is a simple question you can ask Tom Horne, Arizona Attorney General and Shawn Marquez, Director Of Compliance Programs, Arizona Department of Weights and Measures.

Question: Why do you allow the people behind Allstar Moving & Storage (550 E. Elliot Rd., Chandler, AZ 85225) to continue scamming hundreds of consumers as they have done continuously for the last six years?

You can email them (we have!) at:
