A Binding Quote?

Suntrust Van Line Miami FloridaWriting on Ripoff Report at the weekend a consumer claimed they had a binding quote from Suntrust Van Line based in Miami to move her family’s belongings from Florida to Rockway, New Jersey. The original quote was for $1,275 of which they paid $701 with the balance of $574 payable upon delivery. The company quoted 3-5 days for delivery but after a week the consumer called Suntrust Van Line’s to see why their consignment had not arrived. At this point they were told they would have to pay an additional $2,300 upon delivery. When the family’s belongings did show up and they demanded the money the consumer was unable to pay the additional charges. The belongings were returned to Miami and Suntrust Van Line’s are demanding an additional $800 for redelivery.
