Moving Company Reviews Of The Week 8/18/2013

Pick of the Moving Company reviews from around the Web during the previous week.

Allied Van LinesRecently moved from Tennessee to North Pole, Alaska a 20 year veteran of the Armed Forces wrote a review of Allied Van Lines on the ‘Consumer Affairs’ website. He had purchased Allied’s extra insurance and subsequently had to file a claim for some household goods that went missing. Allied Van Lines took nearly 3 months to review his claim and then they responded with “We cannot find your items so we are not sure your items are lost”. An extraordinary response that lead John to conclude his review with “Please protect yourself and do not use this company”.

Best Choice MoversA reviewer of Best Choice Movers on ‘Yelp’ claims their move was a “A terrible experience” and “The amount they actually charged was three times their initial estimate”. Apparently it took 61 days to deliver their belongings and they would not return calls or voicemails. This part is a real corker, the movers swiped the reviewers computer and using locator software installed on the machine the owner discovered that it was being used by Best Choice Movers!

Square Cow MoversAnother ‘Yelp’ reviewer had a very positive experience with Square Cow Movers of Austin, Texas. “The entire experience from quote to move in was painless” he says. Unfortunately the reviewer had to go on a business trip and leave his wife to supervise the move. However he goes on to say that the move team assisted his wife greatly and even helped her corral her fish from the tank and transport both fish and tank safely to their new home.
