Moving Company Brokers Get It Wrong Again

One of the big don’ts when researching movers is use a broker. This is because they are not movers they are sales teams that simply sell your move to a moving company for a profit. The image below shows a partial screen shot (taken today) from internet broker Moving.com for White Glove Relocation Services, Aurora, IL. They give White Glove Relocation Services 4.8/5 for Packing Services, 5/5 for Estimates, 5/5 for Moving Services and 5/5 for Packing Services. Overall Movers.com give White Glove Relocation Services a very respectable rating of 4.9/5.

Here is what the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) gave White Glove Relocation Services yesterday. A $56,300 fine for holding shipments hostage, misleading advertising, and billing clients excessive charges for moves. Plus a $2,070 fine and ordered shut down for safety violations.

No one knows how many moves Moving.com sold on to White Glove Relocation Services but even if it was none why take the risk. Remember never use moving brokers….
